Greta is a seasoned clinician with over 8 years of experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults in a private setting and over 20 years of experience working with children, families and parents in a public agency setting. She values each individual's unique story and offers a space for authentic exploration. In addition, she has provided clinical supervision for over 20 years to fellow professionals.
Greta provides culturally sensitive services informed by various evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's needs. She utilizes a holistic model, integrating different theoretical orientations to facilitate insight, coping skills, and personal growth. She has a strong foundation in Evidence Based Third Wave Cognitive Behavioral Interventions including Mindfulness based cognitve therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness based Self Compassion. She also incorporates knowledge of the neurobiology of attachment, nutritional psychiatry, the physiology of emotions, polyvagal theory, and the physiology of emotions.
While often employing time-limited, goal-oriented, and solution-focused techniques, she also recognizes the value of longer-term therapy for some clients. She collaboratively establishes treatment goals and regularly evaluates progress. She is bi-lingual Spanish speaking, from Argentina.
Clinical Supervision:
Greta is committed to supporting the professional development of other clinicians in consultation or supervision for licensure hours. She provides a supportive and collaborative supervisory relationship, emphasizing ethical practice, clinical skill enhancement, and professional identity development. Her approach is grounded in best practices and contemporary research.
What to Expect in Our First Session (for clients):
The initial session focuses on building rapport, gathering background information, and identifying presenting concerns. Greta strives to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for exploring thoughts, feelings, and experiences. The goal is to formulate a treatment plan and establish a safe and strong therapeutic alliance. Clients can expect to feel heard, validated, and empowered.
Education and experience:
Greta earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She also earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires. She has been licensed for over 20 years in CA and has supervised Interns for many years. She is a seasoned clinician who has worked with children, adults, and families throughout her career in the Los Angeles area.
In addition, she is a mother to four young adults who she describes to have given her the greatest life experience and have helped her develop keen intuition around parenting interventions.
